Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
The last owners were farmers. The main building dates back to the 16th century but its foundations are even older. Important renovations have been made during the 18th century. Its setting dates back to the Gallo-Roman period and Savigny was joined to the famous town of Alauna (Valognes). The old Roman causeway of Cosedia borders the property.
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
The property is set on 2.5 ha nestling in the country in a quiet environment surrounded by a landscaped garden and fields. A poplar alley leads to our manor and its genuine farm buildings (cider-press and old arches).
Based on your guests' opinions, what feature of your B&B has made their stay special?
The 16th century manor, the other buildings, the arches, the bakery, the landscaped garden with its exotic plants and trees, the pond.

How many rooms are offered at your B&B and what is its maximum capacity?
We have 5 very comfortable en-suite rooms in the manor with a family room for 5 people and 2 apartments in a cottage for 3 and 4 people (self-catering accommodation). The maximum capacity is 22 people.
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
All the rooms are very comfortable with different character, romantic, exotic, classic. All with queen size bed and private bathroom (shower or bathtub). Rooms are between 23 to 40 sq.m.

Central heating in all the rooms, hairdryer, tea and coffee in the dinning room.
Which room is your personal favorite?
Room 3 is my favorite, it's a very large romantic room with a four poster bed.
What do the room rates include?
Prices in bed and breakfast between 80 and 100 euros. All prices include breakfast. Free Internet access.
Do you offer any special packages?
What may guests expect from a typical breakfast at your property?
Different kind of bread, croissant, jam, honey, cereals, orange juice, tea, coffee, chocolate.
When and where is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served in the dinning room between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM.

What is you cancellation policy?
Between 25% and 50% deposit asked. After agreement and if we can re-let the room the deposit might be refunded.

The central position of the Bed and Breakfast will enable you to visit a lot of interesting sites, the d-day landing beaches with Utah beach, Omaha beach, Bayeux, the Mont Saint Michel, the Channel Islands, Jersey and Guernesey, Cherbourg.
Where is your B&B located and how it may be reached?
25 km south of Cherbourg. Coming from Paris (330 km), Direction Caen (A 13) then Cherbourg by N13. Take exit Valognes then 700 m after 1 st road on the left (cross the N13). Cross the N13 then take direction St Cyr Bocage and immediately turn on the right direction Savigny. Follow the country road. The property entry is 1 km on the left (watch the poplars, indication Bed and Breakfast, B&B Manoir de Savigny). Coming from Cherbourg (25 km), Direction Caen by N13. Take the 2 rd exit Valognes direction St Sauveur le Vicomte and Le Mont Saint-Michel. Then on the right, direction St Sauveur le Vicomte by D2. 100 m farther signposted "le Gibet" turn on the left direction Flottemanville/Picauville. 50 m after take 1 st on the left direction Savigny. Follow the country road. Property entry 1 km on the left (watch the poplars, indication Manoir de Savigny).
What would you say to people who have never stayed in a bed and breakfast?
