Da Concettina Bed & Breakfast is a comfortable an elegant residence placed in a new building facing the beach of Mazzeo near Taormina. It has 13 elegant and completely furnished suites with balconies overlooking the sea. Every suite has an LCD TV set with satellite channels, mini bar, individual heating and air conditioner, private bathroom with shower, modernly equipped kitchenette, washing machine, hairdryer. Breakfast is served at the coffee shop on the ground floor of Da Concettina Bed & Breakfast. The B&B is located a few hundred meters from the famous beach of Isola Bella near Taormina.

Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
In 1974 the parents of Giuseppe Nino began letting out some rooms, a little bar and a restaurant on the beach. In 2006 Giuseppe Nino built Residence Da Concettina with strong attention to detail in furnishing and comfort. He runs the bed & breakfast and the apartments with his girl-friend Kristina and his mother Concettina. They work as a family so they make sure every guest feels at home, in a quiet, clean and familiar ambiance. Residence Da Concettina is open throughout the whole year.
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
The rooms of Residence Da Concettina Bed & Breakfast are very spacious, not like the classical rooms of few square meters. There is a bedroom with a double bed, two side tables, a wardrobe and a wide window, as well as a living-room with sofa and wide window. The windows allow to go outside at the balcony.
Based on your guests' opinions, what feature of your B&B has made their stay special?
We love to work with people from all over the world and we always welcome them with a big smile. When they leave our residence they say that they will recommend us to everyone for our quality service and for the clean and comfortable rooms we offer.

Da Concettina Bed & Breakfast welcomes its guests with the splendid scenery of the Bay of Taormina, which lies between Capo Sant'Alessio and Capo Mazzarò. It is composed of two new buildings, each with three floors offering a total of 13 elegantly and tastefully appointed suites. All rooms have balcony with sea view, so they are very bright, except three of them, which are situated on the ground floor and have wide windows. The rooms have a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, a bedroom with a double bed for 2 guests, a living room with a sofa- bed, which may sleep to additional guests, individual heating and air conditioning, spacious area with LCD TV set with satellite channels, mini bar, washing machine. At the ground floor Da Concettina B&B has a little coffee-bar open all day where breakfast is served. Linen is changed every three days. The price includes expenses for water, electricity, change of linen, air conditioning, daily cleaning. Extra charge services: additional bed, car rental, transfers, baby-sitter on request, private parking.
How many rooms are offered at your B&B and what is its maximum capacity?
We run 13 elegant suites, than may accommodate from 2 to 4 people. In 3 of the suites it is possible to provide an additional bed. We may sleep a total of 44 peoples.
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
We offers 3 rooms with frontal sea view and 10 rooms with lateral sea view. All of them are named after the Eolian isles and other Sicilian isles.

All rooms have private bath-room with shower, washing machine and hairdryer, LCD TV set, individual air conditioning and heating, mini-bar.
Which room is your personal favorite?
Our favorite and most requested rooms are Bellavista and Baia Blu, because they both have a spectacular view of the Bay of Taormina.
What do the room rates include?
The rates include breakfast and daily cleaning of the room.
Do you offer any special packages?
We offer a "pocket family" package when we are visited by families with children.
What may guests expect from a typical breakfast at your property?
We run also a coffee bar, so our guests may have their breakfast whenever they prefer. We offer everything they might ask for breakfast. Normally we give cappuccino, milk, juice, tea, yogurt, croissants, etc. If somebody asks eggs or something else we will provide them.
When and where is breakfast served?
Without limit, all the day.
Do you serve other meals?
We serve only breakfast.
Are there cooking facilities, which guests may use?
Every room has a fridge. There is also a kitchen, with everything necessary, but the use of it is extra-on request.
Is your bed and breakfast suitable for children?
Our property is suitable for children.
Do you accept pets?
No.
What is your smoking policy?
Smoking is allowed in our rooms.
Is there a parking facility on premises or nearby?
Along the street there is a public parking without payment from 15 September to 15 June. We can offer a private parking in garage, price extra.
Is your B&B suitable for disabled guests?
No
What is your check-in/check-out policy?
Check-out at 10:00, Check-in from 11:00 to 23:00.
Are there a minimum number of nights for staying at your B&B?
We require a minimum of 7 nights of staying only in high season. For medium and low season we accept also one night of staying.
How can guests check availability and make a reservation?
We prefer to be contacted by e-mail if the guests are from other countries. We will send them all the details they need.
What is you cancellation policy?
In high season our cancellation policy is of 30 days. Low and medium season our cancellation policy is 7 days. To book a room we require a deposit of 30% of the amount. If the guests cancel their reservation after the terms of cancellation, the deposit will be not returned.
What types of payment do you accept?
We don't accept payment by credit card. Payment accepted: wire transfers, postal money order and cash.
Is there a special etiquette that guests should know about and comply with?
We always insure a tranquil and relaxing stay, so we ask our guests to respect each other and keep quiet when they are in their rooms.

The principal attraction of our little town is the beautiful sea, that may be enjoyed from March to October, due to the climate. We have large beaches with clean water. Another principal aTtraction is the enchanting city of Taormina, worldwide known for its history. This place has a privileged position: in minutes one may tour the whole of Sicily. From here one may visit the surrounding valleys (Alkantara, Nisi, Agrò ), make trips to the majestic Etna's volcano or to the historic Sicilian towns, as Siracusa, Agrigento, Noto, Enna, Modica, Palermo, Cefalù, etc.
Where is your B&B located and how it may be reached?
It is very easy to arrive at our residence. From the airport of Catania: take the highway A18 and follow it till the exit for Taormina. Instead of driving up to Taormina, drive direction Taormina Mare. Down on the main street you turn left and keep straight on. After about 2 km you will arrive at Letojanni. At the entrance of the village turn left direction Mazzeo "Taormina Mare". There on the seaside you will find our residence. By train: at 5 km from us there is the railway station of Giardini Naxos. If you keep a taxi you will arrive in 10 minutes to our residence.

What would you say to people who have never stayed in a bed and breakfast?
When our guests arrive in our bed & breakfast we explain to them everything concerning the rooms and we ask them if they need to know something else.
