What is(are) your name(s)?
Gun and Yassir
For how long have you been running a B&B?
We started in January 2008
Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
The idea of starting a B&B began many years ago while travelling round Australia for diving. It happened when we stayed with Annie at Amigos in Byron Bay. Over the years we looked for an apartment suitable for us and for guests visiting Stockholm for a few days. In June 2007 we bought this flat.
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
Our guest room is small but cosy. You stay in our home but have your own privacy. When arriving in a new city with only a few days to spend we are here for our guests to help out with recommendations, directions and how to get around.
Based on your guests' opinions, what feature of your B&B has made their stay special?
Our guests feel at home and know they don't have to hesitate to ask for help. Many of our guests are first time visitors in Sweden and like to know a lot about Sweden, Stockholm and people living here. We think it is very nice when our guests "knock on our door" and come in just to have a chat and tell us what their day has been like and what they have experienced in Stockholm during the day.
How many rooms are offered at your B&B and what is its maximum capacity?
We have one room and it's a twin room. We accommodate a maximum of two guests at a time.
Please describe the in-room facilities for each type of room in your B&B.
We have one room and it's a twin room with private wc/shower and entrance. The bathroom is new from April 2009. In the room we have a TV and a small fridge. We have wireless internet and if our guests don't have their own computer we are happy to lend them one during the stay. Tea and coffee making facilities and milk is in the room for our guests. For a small fee we do the laundry and iron for our guests. All apartments in Sweden are centrally heated but we have no air conditioning as we have not much use for it here.
Which room is your personal favorite?
We only have one room.
What do the room rates include?
The rate includes Breakfast, Tea and coffee making facilities, Internet access, Towels, Linen.
Do you offer any special packages?
What may guests expect from a typical breakfast at your property?
A typical breakfast would be: Tea, coffee, milk, Jam and marmalade, Cheese, Ham (turkey), Tomato, Paprika, Bred (different kinds), Yoghurt.
When and where is breakfast served?
Our guests decide when to have breakfast. We put the breakfast in the fridge fresh every day.
Are dietary needs accommodated?
If our guests let us know beforehand, we do our best to adjust the breakfast.
Do you serve other meals?
If our guests let us know beforehand they are welcome to eat dinner with us for a small fee. It is only a possibility during some weekends. We eat mainly fish and vegetarian food.
Are there cooking facilities, which guests may use?
We have no cooking facilities for our guests but plates and cutlery is provided for. Our guests can bring home salad or any other food from the nearby grocery stores or restaurants.

Is your B&B suitable for disabled guests?
What safety precautions are provided at your B&B?
We live in a safe house but we expect our guests to have travel insurance. We have smoke and fire alarms installed.
What is your check-in/check-out policy?
We don't have a strict check-in/check-out policy but noon is our guideline. If we have new guests arriving early the same day while the same time other guests are leaving us late, we work something out regarding luggage.
Are there a minimum number of nights for staying at your B&B?
No, but we charge extra for one night. 200 sek for one person and 300 sek for two persons.
How can guests check availability and make a reservation?

When you book with us you pay a deposit of 20% or maximum 500 sek + bank fee (30 sek) to our bank account. The deposit will be deducted from the total cost upon arrival. The booking is cogent and the deposit will not be refunded in case of cancelation less than 14 days prior to arrival. If the guests must cancel on a very short notice or don't show up we hope they visit us some other time. The deposit can however not be transfered to another time.
What types of payment do you accept?
Our guests can pay the deposit through bank or by PayPal. Upon arrival payment can be made in cash or PayPal.
Is there a special etiquette that guests should know about and comply with?
We wish all people regardless of religion or race a welcome to stay at Yaha Divers Bed and breakfast. We believe in common politeness and respect for one another.
Please tell us what things guests might enjoy visiting, seeing, doing, etc. in your area.
If you are leaving Stockholm without visiting the Vasa museum you have to come back. Vasa is the only 17th-century ship in the world. It was lifted from the sea 333 years after it sank. Stockholm is a very nice town to walk in so leave high heals at home. In the summer you can swim everywhere in Stockholm and in the winter when the ice is set you can skate around the city.
Where is your B&B located and how it may be reached?
Stockholm is situated on islands. YaHa Divers Bed and Breakfast is located on the Kings Islet central at Fridhemsplan. From the central station you can either walk (20- 30 min) or take bus 69. The bus stops at Fridhemsplan, 2 min walk from us. You can also take the underground to Fridhemsplan. Both green and blue line passes Fridhemsplan. The underground station is also only 2 min walk from us. Fridhemsplan is close to everything without being in the tourist area. You have easy access to all places in and around Stockholm.
What would you say to people who have never stayed in a bed and breakfast?
You will come closer to the local people and feel more at home when you are away.
