Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
A Teatro Bed & Breakfast was started by our family and we are the first and only innkeepers. The premises on which the B&B operates was previously the Head Office of an American University and was partly used as classrooms. When the University moved to a more spacious location we decided to turn the apartment into a B&B and the whole place was completely renovated and refurbished.
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
A Teatro Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of the city centre, within easy reach of the main attractions and activities. It has a cosy and relaxed atmosphere due to the family management.
Based on your guests' opinions, what feature of your B&B has made their stay special?
Location, peace and the view over the old roofs of Florence
Please describe in short your bed and breakfast and its general services and amenities.
The B&B has a breakfast room and TV sets, air conditioning and minibar in each room. The property is graded at the first level by the National Association of B&B.
How many rooms are offered at your B&B and what is its maximum capacity?
Total number of rooms 6, of which 4 doubles, 1 triple and 1 single with queen size bed. Maximum capacity 12 with additional beds for children.
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
Each room is named after a colour, which is the main feature of the interior decoration. Three rooms have small balconies overlooking the street opposite a theatre, two have larger balconies with breakfast tables with a nice view over back street and roofs.

3 rooms with bathtub and 3 with shower. All have air conditioning and heating, none has fireplace. Tea and coffee making facilities and ironing facilities are provided in the common room.
Which room is your personal favorite?
The pink and ivory room, which have balconies and tables.
What do the room rates include?
Price includes breakfast, internet, tax, insurance. Parking available on request in nearby premises at additional cost.
Do you offer any special packages?
Available with the exception during Easter and Christmas time.
What may guests expect from a typical breakfast at your property?
Breakfast at A Teatro B&B includes espresso and American coffee, cappuccino, various flavours of tea and juices, milk, yogurt, corn flakes, cookies, bread, butter, jam, cheese, chocolate, fresh fruit. Additional items on request.
When and where is breakfast served?
Breakfast time 8.30 - 10.30 a.m. in the breakfast room. Extended time upon request.
Are dietary needs accommodated?
Special requirements upon request, usually without additional payment.

No lunch or dinner served.

Tea and coffee facilities in the breakfast room. Fridge available in each room.

Where is your B&B located and how it may be reached?
Piazza Santa Croce. Walking time from Railway Station is 15/20 minutes. Taxi drive from airport is 25 minutes usually at the cost of € 20 (daytime). Suggested itinerary if driving own car is to reach the Ring Road (Viali di Circonvallazione) upto the river bank at Piazza Piave, enter the central area through the National Librery entrance (piazza Cavalleggeri).
What would you say to people who have never stayed in a bed and breakfast?
A distinctive feature of a B&B is that there is no all-day reception. Breakfast in the common room with private table. Private bathroom, air conditioning, TV set and fridge for each room.
