Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
Casa Luxembourg is a historic house located in the very center of Sibiu. It was built on the first precincts of the fortification Villa Hermani, later known as Sibiu. The house has undergone complete renovation in the period from 1999 to 2003. After the renovation works various unique elements of the architecture of the house have been preserved to reflect its original charm.
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
Our reception is open 24/7 and besides as a reception desk it also serves as an info center for Sibiu, an incoming tourist agency and a souvenir/books shop. The multilingual staff is friendly and young and very flexible to the clients' requests. Languages spoken at Casa Luxembourg: German, English, Spanish, French and Hungarian. The very central location, in the heart of the historical center is also an advantage.

Casa Luxemburg is a three star bed and breakfast situated in the heart of Sibiu. It offers comfortable and stylish accommodation in a unique medieval setting.
How many rooms are offered at your B&B and what is its maximum capacity?
Casa Luxembourg B&B has 7 rooms: 1 single room, 1 triple room, 3 double rooms, 2 apartments with a total capacity for 18 guests. It is possible to place additional beds in one double room and in the apartments.
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
Room 11 is a very spacious apartment designed in a unique baroque style, with a great view of the Evangelic Cathedral in Huet Square. It has an oversized bed, private office room and a modern bathroom. It is perfect for business travelers or families with small children. Room 21 is a large three-bed room, with a great view of the Evangelic Cathedral in Huet Square. It is recommended for young people or families with children. Room 22 is a twin bed room with typical Saxon furniture. In Transylvania this old craft has been passed on from generation to generation. This double room will enchant those who enjoy this kind of art. Room 23 is a very large room with great panorama view of the historic centre, Piata Mica with the Liars’ Bridge, the Council Tower and the House of Arts. It has a king-size bed as well as a folding bed so it’s recommended for young couples but also for older travelers and families with children. Room 24 is a modern furnished apartment with great views of the historic centre, Piata Mica with the Liars’ Bridge, the Council Tower and the House of Arts. This two-room apartment has a king-size bed and a folding bed in the second room. Room 25 is suitable for short term travelers who need a good night’s sleep in a cozy setting. It is smaller than the other rooms and has a great view of the Evangelic Cathedral. Room 26 is a two-room apartment with one kitchen and a big bathroom. It has views of the Piata Mica with the Liars’ Bridge as well as those of the Huet Square with the Evangelic Cathedral and is a perfect choice for long term travelers, families with children or a romantic getaway.

All rooms at Casa Luxembourg B&B have heating, TV set, ironing facilities, hair dryer, phone, wireless internet connection, en-suite bathroom with shower. Room 26 has a kitchen and a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom.
Which room is your personal favorite?
Room 11 is the newest room in Casa Luxembourg B&B, it is very spacious and has an extra large king-size bed. Room 25 is an intimate small room with a unique painting.
What do the room rates include?
The room rates includes breakfast and taxes: VAT and local tax.
Do you offer any special packages?
Casa Luxemburg B&B offers special packages for weekends in extra-season (October - March), for long term reservation, for business trips and for Easter/Christmas.
When and where is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served in the breakfast lounge with 2 rooms between 7.00 AM - 10.00 AM. For early check out, we offer breakfast packages.
Are dietary needs accommodated?
Our various breakfast offers also options for dietary needs as different types of cheese, yogurt, milk, fruits, vegetables, eggs, cereals.

Are there cooking facilities, which guests may use?
Only Room 26 has a kitchen, suitable for long term reservations.
Is your bed and breakfast suitable for children?
We accommodate children of any age: for children under 6 years without own bed is free of charge and for children under 14 year with own bed the price is half from the single room price.
Do you accept pets?
No.
What is your smoking policy?
Casa Luxemburg has only non-smoking rooms, but smoking is allowed in a special place at the balcony and at the Piano bar Atrium downstairs
Is there a parking facility on premises or nearby?
We have 2 parking options: on the Small Square, just next to Casa Luxembourg where the pedestrian area is and costs 2 Lei/day non stop. The second option is 100 m away from the house at a public parking space, where we provide the parking tickets.
Is your B&B suitable for disabled guests?

What safety precautions are provided at your B&B?

There is no minimum number of night.

You can contact us non stop via phone, email or fax.
What is you cancellation policy?
We require credit card details (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express) in order to guarantee a reservation. However, no charge will be withdrawn from the credit card, as the guests must personally pay for their stay at the bed and breakfast. When a reservation is canceled: 1.With at least 3 days prior to arrival no fee will be charged. 2. Less than 3 days, or in case of no-show, the amount equal to the first-night-price will be charged. In case of a reservation made for more than three (3) days, 30% of the amount will be charged. For the safety of your credit card details please send them via fax or phone.

Guests may visit the historic center of Sibiu with its pedestrian area including the Small Square, Larke Square, Huet Square fortification walls, museum and churches. The Liars’ Bridge is a must see for any tourist. Guests may see it from the window of their own room at Casa Luxembourg B&B.
Where is your B&B located and how it may be reached?
Casa Luxemburg B&B is situated in the heart of the historical centre, in Piata Mica. FROM ARAD: Once you arrive at the bridge over Cibin river you turn left, at the 5th functional traffic lights as you enter the city. You are now on Malului St. Drive forward to the first traffic lights and then turn right. At approximately 100 m on Turnului St. the road turns left. You are now on Faurului St. At the end of this street you should turn right. You are now heading towards Piata Mica. You are here! FROM MEDIAS/SIGHISOARA: You arrive aty Lunga St. Keep driving until you reach the end of the street, then turn left and cross the Cibin Bridge. At approximately 100 m on Turnului St. the road turns left. You are now on Faurului St. At the end of this street you should turn right. You are now heading towards Piata Mica. You are here! FROM BRASOV: Once you enter Sibiu you will see the Sibiu Shopping Center on your left. Drive on by and go forward on General Vasile Milea Boulevard. At the end of it you arrive to Unirii Square. Here you turn right, at the 5th traffic lights, pass the National Theatre and drive forward on Corneliu Coposu Boulevard which is parallel to the red defense wall. At the end of the boulevard you should reach the roundabout. Here you must turn left and then turn again left at the second traffic lights. You are now on 9 Mai St. At the end of this one way street turn left. You are in Piata Mica. From here you will easily reach Casa Luxemburg. ARRIVAL BY TRAIN OR BY BUS: Once you get out from the train or bus you should walk towards the downtown of the city less than a kilometer. Guide yourself by the towers of the churches in the old town. After you walk through the tunnel beneath the Council Tower you will find yourself in the Small Square (Piata Mica). On the left side, looking at the Liars Bridge (Podul Minciunilor) you will see a big red house. You have arroved! (only 10 minutes by foot).
