Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
Galapagos Suites was a dream of a little girl that ended it up with her mother and sister in the Galapagos Islands when she was ten years old. Since then I've graduated secondary and high school on the islands, university in the mainland with major in Hotel and Tourism management, and also in 2005 I became a Naturalist Guide of the Enchanted Archipelago. My mother and me we have been involved with tourism since then, and after saving some money of my guiding years finally this year I was able to make one of my dreams come true. Galápagos Suites is a B&B that offers personalized first class service. We strive to provide a unique experience at our hotel as well as in the surrounding islands. We seek to understand your expectations and suggest an itinerary to meet your needs. Once your itinerary is set we will organize your activities to optimize your Galapagos experience.
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
Our B&B is run by my mother and me, being a small lodging facility we are able to know each one of our guest and their personal requests to make their stay in Galapagos unforgettable. We can help you arranging and giving you advices about your activities in the islands before and during your stay with us. Also it is very important to let you know that we live on the ground floor of Galápagos Suites so we are available 24/7.
Based on your guests' opinions, what feature of your B&B has made their stay special?
A lot of our guest liked a lot our bathrooms, they have plenty of space on it, also our balcony area is comfortable to read a book and spend some time just relaxing there. They have mentioned also the cakes that my mother gives them for breakfast.
How many rooms are offered at your B&B and what is its maximum capacity?
We have four rooms - two on the first floor and two on the second floor. The capacity is for 8 guests but if you have children or a teenager they can sleep on the sofa-bed.
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
Scalesia, Opuntia, Tiquilia, Miconia are our four rooms, they have a modern but simple design: white walls and ceiling, with wooden windows, colorful bedspreads and a really good light on the lamp in the bed table for reading.
Please describe the in-room facilities for each type of room in your B&B.
Every room is about 30 square meters in size, equipped with air conditioner, TV set with cable television, safety box, a sofa, private balcony area with a hammock, bathroom, biodegradable amenities. Hair dryer and iron upon request. We also provide a water dispenser, so you can help your self any time with water. Depending on your request we can put together the twin beds and you can have a king size bed.
Which room is your personal favorite?
The second floor rooms are my favorites, because one has ocean view form the balcony area and from the little hall at the entrance of the rooms there is a very nice view to the highlands of Santa Cruz.
What do the room rates include?
If you want only B&B service the rates include an American breakfast, as well if you need a full tour the rates will be given to you and we will specify what is included.
Do you offer any special packages?
Yes, that depends on what you are interested in, we can provide a Tailor Made Itinerary.
What may guests expect from a typical breakfast at your property?
We offer delicious breakfast prepared by my mother: eggs, milk, coffee, juice, fruits, bread, and depending the number of days that you stay with us also you can have cake, brownies, cornflakes. If you have any special diet let us know ahead of time.
When and where is breakfast served?
We like to know at what time the guest would like to have it and we will have it ready. Breakfast is served at the breakfast room.
Are dietary needs accommodated?
Special diets are catered to upon prior notice. As you know, living on an island means that many things are not available so we have to bring them from the mainland.
Do you serve other meals?
No.
Are there cooking facilities, which guests may use?
No, but if you need to prepare something special let us know.
Is your bed and breakfast suitable for children?
We recommend that if you come to the Enchanted islands your kid should be above 6 years old. Parents are responsible of their children at any time.
Do you accept pets?
No.
What is your smoking policy?
No smoking in side the room, you can do it in the balcony area.
Is there a parking facility on premises or nearby?
No, you don't need it.
Is your B&B suitable for disabled guests?
Not for the moment.
What safety precautions are provided at your B&B?
Emergency lightning and fire extinguisher on each floor.
What is your check-in/check-out policy?
Check in/out depends on your flights from and to the mainland, but usually check in is between 11 am to 2 pm and check out between 7 am and 9 am.
Are there a minimum number of nights for staying at your B&B?
No.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept wire transfer to any of our accounts or cash when you get here.
Is there a special etiquette that guests should know about and comply with?
We are part of a recycling system so we kindly ask you to dispose the garbage in the right trash can. Also noise should be kept to a minimum after 10 pm.

You let us know what you are interested in and we will design a tour for you. Galápagos Suites is two blocks from the waterfront, which allows our guest to experience the richness of the local culture, cuisine, shopping and beaches. Galápagos Suites is also near to the famous fish market where you can see the products that fishermen have caught during the day such us Yellowfin tunas, Guajos, Amberjacks, Red Lobster (when in season), etc. But the curios thing is that the first customers at the fish market are the Sealions, Pelicans and Frigates and the local people.
Where is your B&B located and how it may be reached?
Galápagos Suites is in Cucuve S/N y Floreana street, two blocks from the waterfront. There is a windmill and a tortoise monument near to the fishing market, you have to go up 2 blocks and then turn right is half way in the street in the left hand side and you will sea a big dark red wall and there you are!!!
What would you say to people who have never stayed in a bed and breakfast?
