Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
Bed and Breakfast La Casa de los Líos is a real home with nice people who want to share a piece of their life with other people. The house is located in Villanueva de la Cañada, an University Town, 30 minutes from Madrid, buses each 10 minutes. And if you have a car you can drive to Toledo (40 minutes), El Escorial (30 minutes), Segovia (1 hour). La Casa de los Líos offers personalized service and competitive rates. It offers one room suitable for two adults with private bathroom, nice living-room with TV set, free wi-fi internet, work-desk, hairdryer, ironing facilities, central heating. But if you just want to take a rest in your journey, we have a nice garden with cover pool, and possibilities for cycling, horse riding, balloon near the house.
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
In La Casa de los Líos you can know people from different places: Canada, Corea del Sur, Belgium. We share our life from 2002 with people of other countries. Sometimes they stay for a short time, sometimes they begin to be part of our family. I am a painter, and you have the opportunity of see a lot of original pictures, and if you want you can buy them too. A nice family, nice dogs, nice house, nice garden, come and join us!!
Based on your guests' opinions, what feature of your B&B has made their stay special?
I think the most important is the people who live in La Casa de Los Líos. We have had people from France, UK, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Jordan, Guinea Ecuatorial, Peru, Corea del Sur, Belgim, and from different cities of Spain: Barcelona, Sevilla, Bilbao, Pontevedra, Toledo. Some of them had just stayed here, most of them continue in contact. My guests have felt like at home.
Please describe in short your bed and breakfast and its general services and amenities.
My house: Its a family house with 3 floors. Upstairs life 2 students from Canada, and Corea del Sur. In the principal floor we have our bedroom, living room, an a nice kitchen where we share our live with everybody. Low floor is where the studio I rent is. A big room with a double bed, a place to work, TV set, Wi-Fi internet, and the possibility of another bed for children. The bathroom is private. We have a garden, where you can read or just relax and a close pool, very nice form may to October, although I continuing swimming now. My house is warm in the winter and nice in the hot summer. And is located in a quiet area where you can walk or cycling.
How many rooms are offered at your B&B and what is its maximum capacity?
I offer the studio from October to June. But in summer students go to their homes and we can offer 2 more rooms.
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
The studio is very big, 40 m, it has a double room, a big wardrobe, a table and a chair to work, a sofa, TV set, heating and fireplace, 3 windows. It's called Sandra's room because this used to be my daughter's room. It can be used by a couple, or a family. The other 2 rooms are very big two, they are now occupied by students and their names are Marta's room and Jin's room. Marta is my youngest daughter. And Jin is a student but she is like one of my family. These two rooms are not free from October to June. They have the same facilities the studio has, but are a little smaller and they are situated upstairs. They have air-conditioning.

The studio has a private bathroom. The other two rooms share a bathroom. They have TV set, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing facilities, Wi-Fi internet.
Which room is your personal favorite?
Sandra's room is perhaps my favourite, then Marta's room and finally Jin's room.
What do the room rates include?
Rates includes room rent, internet, tax. You can park your car outside without any problem.
Do you offer any special packages?
Yes, if the person wants to stay for 15 days or a month there will be a different rate.
What may guests expect from a typical breakfast at your property?
You can choose between: Normal breakfast: coffee and milk, with variety of sweet cakes for one person or
Special breakfast: coffee, milk, or tea, variety of sweet cakes, orange juice, sliced cold meats, eggs for one person.(this must be requested the previous day).
When and where is breakfast served?
Normal breakfast is served whenever and wherever the guest wants to. Special breakfast will be served in the kitchen but guests can take it outside during the summer days.
Are dietary needs accommodated?
No special needs are required.
Do you serve other meals?
There are always people at home, there is a menu for lunch and dinner. So guests can join just advising and paying it.
Are there cooking facilities, which guests may use?
There is a fridge on every floor floor that guest can use. There are also tea and coffee making facilities.
Is your bed and breakfast suitable for children?
My house is suitable for everybody who likes dogs and respect sleeping time (from eleven to seven in the morning)
From October to June there are students at home than must be respected too.
Do you accept pets?
I accept pets, but my dogs NO. I have an old yorkie and a golden. Very nice with people but with the yorkie has a big character with other dogs.
What is your smoking policy?
We don't smoke. But you can smoke in the garden.
Is there a parking facility on premises or nearby?
You can park nearby without any problem.
Is your B&B suitable for disabled guests?
I don't think so, sorry!
What is your check-in/check-out policy?
We'll try to adapt to quests' requests.
Are there a minimum number of nights for staying at your B&B?
No minimum nights for staying. But we'll be more strict with checking in and leaving if the guest stays one night.
How can guests check availability and make a reservation?

What is you cancellation policy?
We require a 20% for reservation, so if you reserve and cancel you loose reservation.
What types of payment do you accept?
Wire transfers for reservations; cash when you check in.
Is there a special etiquette that guests should know about and comply with?
We are normal people and we expect you to respect us.
Please tell us what things guests might enjoy visiting, seeing, doing, etc. in your area.
In our town there are cycling facilities, horses, baloon. But we are 30 minutes from Madrid, El Escorial, 40 minutes from Toledo, 1 hour from Segovia. So you can just rest in our house or spend a lovely day visiting Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, El Escorial and come back and rest in a lovely place.
Where is your B&B located and how it may be reached?
If you want to come to our house without car, we can pick you up from airport, bus station, railway station for 70 euros (2 people). If you come by car we are very near M-503 road, M-40 road.
What would you say to people who have never stayed in a bed and breakfast?
I think our house is a great opportunity to travel around, getting to know people from the place. We can plan the routes with you, advise about what to see, where to go, where to have lunch... The studio is nice if you want to be on you own, but the house is open to share your experiences.
