Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
I am initially an architectural designer, after my studies I opened an antique jewelery and clothes shop. When this ancient nuns house was for sale.....I bought it! I found everything perfect: the location (in the heart of the old city), the space, the materials... A whole year was necessary to make the house the way it is now. I want to provide comfort, charm, and authenticity to the customers. It's eleven years now that I welcome people from everywhere : Australia, France, Norway, Italy, Brazil, USA, UK, etc. It's pleasant to meet people from all walks of life.....and I 'm invited in a lot of countries! Sometimes celebrities are sleeping here, singers, actors, famous doctors, rock bands. Sometimes people are coming here to work in my area, to enjoy the wonderful nature all around, to drink the famous Chimay beer, to spend a romantic weekend, to visit the ancient city of Chimay. I still hope to make other surprising meetings.
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
All rooms at Le Petit Chapitre Bed & Breakfast are en-suite and have individual design. The birds room is decorated with a lot of birds; the Opera room is like a lodge of theater; the Cotton room is quiet and comfortable.

All rooms are provided with TV, Tea and coffee in all rooms, Fridge and mini bar, Slippers, Hair dryer, Information about walking routes, restaurants and menus, about the city of Chimay, Pillows in feathers or synthetic, Sheets and rugs in natural materials, Shoe polish cream and brushes. 4 stars for all rooms awarded by the Ministry of Tourism.

There are 4 rooms for 2 persons, 1 room for 1 person, possibility to add an extra bed in a couple of rooms.
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
The Blue room - 1 double bed - style art nouveau - ambiance blue and white - bath. The Opera room - 1 double bed - style baroque - glamour - 1 shower. The Birds room - 2 single beds - style romantic - bathroom with marble - bath. The Cotton room - 1 double bed - the biggest - ambiance wood-linen- cotton - bath/shower. The Yellow room - small room - 2 single beds - ambiance naive - shower.

The Cotton room because it's the biggest one.

The room rates include delicious breakfast, very often praised by my guests.

Coffee, tea, chocolate, orange juice, different kinds of bread, cheese of Chimay, butter natural, crescent, home made jams, fruits salad, chocolate pasta, white cheese.

In the breakfast room between 8.00 and 10.00 am

Visiting the castle of the prince of Chimay (it's often the Princess herself for the visit). Visiting the abbey, it's at this place to make the famous beer of Chimay.....but it's a real abbey with moons and you don't visit the brewery. Visiting the nature, woods, rivers, valley with little authentic towns. Visiting the center of the nature in 3 km of Chimay, it's a reserve natural around a lake, there is a lot of wild birds. Visiting in summer butterflies farm.

It's a personalized place, there is no staff, just the owner.
