Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
I started A Casa di Amici Bed & Breakfast because I love to meet a lot of people and share experiences, I love to travel, so I am happy to help other travellers when they need help. For this reason during the check in I love to explain Palermo and the best things to see and to do. I know that everything is excellent when at check out people say: Claudia, we hope we can come back another time in Palermo, cheers!
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
We have all the facilities that people need during travelling. The point of strength of “A casa di amici” is Claudia and Santo Vitale’s artistic drive. You will be able to visit our permanent exhibitions of paintings, and take part in music workshops. My brother, Santo Vitale, is a percussionist and a craftsman of percussion instruments. He may give some courses only for the technique of playing percussion instruments and some courses that combine technique and creation of instruments to give the opportunity to understand better the sense of the music. You are free to try :)
Based on your guests' opinions, what feature of your B&B has made their stay special?
We speak English and French, and we take good care of every guest; we are friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious. Our B&B in Palermo has a great location, we are close to the best monuments and from here you can visit the city center just walking.

We have some free facilities: Rich breakfast, Air conditioner, Hairdryers, Sponges and soap, TV room, Free Wi-Fi, Tourist information, Groups admitted, Left luggage service, Free bike parking. And some extra services on demand: Car parking, Motorbike parking, Laundry, Kitchen facilities, Shuttle service, Internet point, Rent-a-bike, Maps.
How many rooms are offered at your B&B and what is its maximum capacity?
At this moment we have capacity for 17 people in 3 triple and 4 double rooms.
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
Some rooms are named after African instruments like Tama or Shaker, other rooms are named after the first sensation that I had when I rented the flat like Tropical or Freedom.

There are several facilities for communal use like TV, microwave, coin-operated laundry or ironing facilities, kitchen and fridge. The in-room amenities include air conditioner, towels, sponges, Wi-Fi in some rooms. We have 2 lounges where guests may relax, read a book.
Which room is your personal favorite?
My favourite room is "Tropical" because it is the coolest room of all and is totally different from the other 6 rooms.

Rates include: Rich breakfast, Air conditioner, Hairdryers, Sponges and soap, TV room, Wi-Fi, Tourist information and taxes.

From our B&B in Palermo, guests may visit the city on foot or take the bus to go to Mondello, Monreale or Montepellegrino. Palermo is the capital of Sicily so you can go to Selinunte or Catania by bus and come back in one day. We may always help guests to organize their stay the best way.
Where is your B&B located and how it may be reached?
My B&B is behind the Teatro Massimo. When you reserve, we will send a detailed map together with the confirmation email.
What would you say to people who have never stayed in a bed and breakfast?
You must only have a good spirit for a traveller !!!
