Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
This beautiful property was purchased in early 2007, and it was built purely for private use. Anyway, been in the touring business since 1999 the establishment of a nature based B&B was just a great addition that people from all over the world not only enjoy nature and wildlife outside of Alice Springs but also in Alice Springs!
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
Huge native garden with over 60 bird species around; scenic location; real Outback hospitality; very quiet; stunning night sky; candle night dinner; home-made cakes; and much more.
Based on your guests' opinions, what feature of your B&B has made their stay special?
Well, the vast majority of all guests named this property 'paradise', so I guess it's our beautiful gardens and the property that makes it so special. On top of that the personalised service and also the candle light dinner on the balcony are liked a lot.

How many rooms are offered at your B&B and what is its maximum capacity?
We got 5 rooms on offer as follows: 1 Cottage [max 2 pax + possible baby cot]; 1 Ensuite Apartment [max 2 pax = possible baby cot]; 3 Single rooms [max 1 pax per room].
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
The Cottage is separate to the main building, therefore it is even more peaceful and quiet, with own veranda, and bushland on one side. Ideal spot to sit outside at night and to enjoy the millions of stars! Own car port. The Apartment and single rooms occupy the left side of the main building, again, with a nice environment all around, huge native garden, own car port.

The Cottage contains a queen-sized bed, kitchenette, fridge, table setting with 4 chairs, air con / heating system, TV, radio alarm clock, ceiling fan, iron/ironing board, toilet/shower facility, tea and coffee making facilities. The Apartment contains a queen-sized bed, table setting with 2 arm chairs, air con / heating system, TV, radio alarm clock, ceiling fan, toilet/shower facility, tea and coffee making facilities / fridge in front of it. The Single Rooms contain a single bed each, working desk, air con / heating system, TV, radio alarm clock, ceiling fan, with shared toilet/shower/bath facility, tea and coffee making facilities / fridge in front of it.
Which room is your personal favorite?
The Cottage is certainly the jewel of the property! It's a home away from home!
What do the room rates include?
Room rates include continental breakfast and all taxes.
Do you offer any special packages?
Special packages are available that includes airport pick-up, tours, or long-term stay.
What may guests expect from a typical breakfast at your property?
A typical cont. breakfast consists of good ground coffee [of course there is instant as well!:)], different teas, milk, juice, jogurth, butter/spreads, different jams, honey, different cereals, sweets/cake, croissants, good bread / breadrolls, vegemite, cheese etc.
When and where is breakfast served?
The breakfast room is open between 7-9.30 a.m. or earlier by arrangement. The breakfast room is upstairs so sit on the balcony to enjoy your breakfast and all the scenery and birds around!
Are dietary needs accommodated?
Just name it and we do our very best, also for dinner!
Do you serve other meals?
Own menu for dinner, you will like it.
Are there cooking facilities, which guests may use?
Kitchenette in the Cottage. Campfire cooking on request
Is your bed and breakfast suitable for children?
Sure, come with your kids. We also supply baby cots.

All rooms are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is only allowed outside.

Plenty of parking and free of charge for all guests!

This service is not available yet, sorry!
What safety precautions are provided at your B&B?
Smoke and fire alarms; fire break around the property; safe rooms. In a matter of fact, it's a very save environment due to the fact that we are located on the outskirts of Alice Springs and NOT in the Centre where crime is high! Nothing to fear on this property, for sure!!

Booking enquiries should be best forwarded straight to us, email is preferred.
What is you cancellation policy?
Reservations cancelled more than 48 hours prior to confirmed stay will be fully refunded. Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of confirmed stay will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one nights accommodation per room.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept wire transfers, cash, credit cards [no Amex or Diners].

It's the perfect place to enjoy nature, for birdwatching, to explore the area, to go for a bush walk, or just to relax and soak in tranquility and peacefulness!
Where is your B&B located and how it may be reached?
The B&B [Heath Road] is located halfway between the airport and Alice Springs centre between the horse race course and the C.S.I.R.O. A big blue signpost at Stuart Highway will direct you into Heath Road! The property is nearly at the end of that dead road and on the left.
What would you say to people who have never stayed in a bed and breakfast?
You get plenty of privacy on our property. Our personalised service plus the property on top will make it unforgettable!
