Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
It was always a dream and desire of mine to open a B&B and this is how Casa de Cacela Bed & Breakfast in Vila Nova de Cacela has been created.
What are the unique characteristics of your B&B?
The B&B is situated on 6 acres of private land. It is well located, being only 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the countryside.
Based on your guests' opinions, what feature of your B&B has made their stay special?
Most of our guests enjoy the tranquility and comment positively on the decor.
Please describe in short your bed and breakfast and its general services and amenities.
The property has a communal area, self-service bar (24hours), fully serviced kitchen, dinning area, outdoor terrace with pool.
How many rooms are offered at your B&B and what is its maximum capacity?
10 Rooms, with a maximum capacity of 20 Adults in addition to 6 children.
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
The rooms are double rooms which are all unique and named after a Fruit which is grown on the property.
Please describe the in-room facilities for each type of room in your B&B.
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV, stereo, and private bathroom.
Which room is your personal favorite?
My personal favorite is "Pessego" (Peach Room), which faces the pool.
What do the room rates include?
The room rates include Breakfast, private parking and wireless internet in the communal area.
Do you offer any special packages?
Yes, we can organize tours, safaris, golf packages, etc.
What may guests expect from a typical breakfast at your property?
Continental breakfast consisting of ham, cheese, Portuguese sausage, cereal, yoghurt, fresh bread, croissants, coffee, tea, milk and fresh orange juice from the our orchard.
When and where is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served daily from 09h00 to 12h00 (noon) either in the main dinning room or outdoor on the terrace.
Are dietary needs accommodated?
Yes, upon request.
Do you serve other meals?
No, but we do have a full service kitchen that the clients may use.
Are there cooking facilities, which guests may use?
Yes, a full service kitchen.
Is your bed and breakfast suitable for children?
Yes, there is lots of space on the property and they enjoy the pool.
Do you accept pets?
Yes, we have a kennel on the property.
What is your smoking policy?
All the rooms and indoor area is non-smoking however you are free to smoke outdoors on the terrace.
Is there a parking facility on premises or nearby?
Yes, there is private parking available
Is your B&B suitable for disabled guests?
Yes, one of the rooms has been specifically prepared for disabled guests (with wheelchair).
What safety precautions are provided at your B&B?
Each room is equipped with a smoke detector and the property has a burglar alarm.
What is your check-in/check-out policy?
Normally check-in is after 14h and check-out is by 12h (noon).
Are there a minimum number of nights for staying at your B&B?
There are no minimum number to nights except for the month of August (min. stay is 5 nights), the remainder of the year is on a per night basis.
How can guests check availability and make a reservation?
By calling the number on my website on via e-mail on my website.
What is you cancellation policy?
During high season a min. of 20% deposit is required. Cancellation within 15 days, a full reimbursement is given. There is no deposit necessary during low season.
What types of payment do you accept?
Bank transfer, cash or Debit Card (for Portuguese residents only).
Is there a special etiquette that guests should know about and comply with?
No.
