Please share something about the history of your present bed and breakfast.
SanGaggio House B&B is located in one of the most elegant, peaceful, but above all, still authentically Florentine districts of the city, surrounded by the luxuriant green gardens of villas and traditional houses, a stone’s throw from Piazza di Porta Romana and Piazzetta della Calza where the historic centre of Florence begins.
From Piazza di Porta Romana you can also directly access the fascinating Boboli Gardens and a few minutes’ walk takes you to Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio and the Specola, Vasari Corridor, Galileo, Palazzo Davanzati, and Palazzo Strozzi museums and the Uffizi Gallery. San Gaggio House B&B is a XIX century house, completely and meticulously renovated to preserve the traditional, unique architecture of a type of building now rare in Florence.
The refined, elegant San Gaggio B&B, is appointed with antique furniture salvaged from old Florentine homes which belonged to our parents and grandparents, in keeping with our philosophy of encouraging the recovery of old things as opposed to the throw-away culture of our times, convinced as we are that sustainable development should begin with our daily choices.

The house also has a panoramic terrace overlooking Florence where you can order a cocktail and enjoy one of the most beautiful views in the world. In summer months, breakfast can be enjoyed on a terrace overlooking the enchanting, furnished garden, where you can relax after your sightseeing and visits to the museums. The reading room with fireplace is an ideal spot to relax in the evening before retiring for the night.

All rooms have a large, private bathroom equipped with shower, heated towel rail, a courtesy basket, a set of towels including a large bath towel and hair-drier, air-conditioning, mini-bar, LCD satellite T.V. and fast WI-FI Internet connection. SanGaggio House B&B can provide you with a map of Florence with a calendar of events and information about concerts, exhibitions and shows, as well as directions to both scenic and artistic places to visit. A museum ticket booking service is also available. There is no curfew at SanGaggio House B&B guests given keys on arrival to allow them to come and go as they please as if they were in their own home.
