My name is Ita. I studied hotel management at Shannon College as a young student and worked in hotels until I got married. I decided to be a stay at home mum but missed meeting people from all over the world so I started using my home as a Bed & Breakfast. I work hard at giving my guests a great welcome and pleasant stay at my home. I very much enjoy meeting people from all the different countries.

Knockawn Wood Bed & Breakfast is 3+++ Failte Ireland graded. Picturesque, peaceful situated in rural sitting away from busy road traffic. Tea and scones on arrival. Enjoy our stunning view of beautiful woods with forty shades of green. Sun-room to relax and enjoy a read from my collection of information books on local and national attractions.
What kinds of rooms do you offer?
Knockawn Wood B&B has 4 en-suite rooms - 1 triple with a double and a single bed, 2 twin-bedded rooms and 1 room with a double bed. All with T,V, Electric Blankets, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers in bedrooms. Each is nicely decorated with wooded floors and large windows on ground floor. Private parking.

Cork. Ferryport, Airport 25 minutes drive to Knockawn Wood. Take N25 West exit CorkN22/Blarney R617/ follow to R618. Drive for approx 8km. From Blarney- 6 km. on Blarney - Killlarney Rd. R617/R579/R622/R618. From Killarney - N22 to Macroom Follow Blarney Sign on to R618 drive for 15 Miles to Knockawn Wood.
